Vintage florals 🌸

Hi guys,

I'm half way through my end of year exam at university at the moment so I haven't had very much time to blog.
But after our second exam me and my house mates decided a trip into town was a good way to reward ourselves for making it to the half way mark :)

We found this super cute vintage shop in chester town center called lily vintage and we must have spent a good hour in there having a root around.

I found a really cute tweed blazer but oh my days it was tiny! I was gutted! It was only £10 too! But instead I found this adorable floral playsuit :D
I love the print on it and it's chunky buttons. The fit is really flattering too considering how tiny everything in the shop was.

I love it :) and at £22 I don't think that's too bad really.

I also painted my nails using my models own goodies from the 6for20 deal.

This time I used magpie and the floral sticky fingers :) I'll say it again, so impressed with these polishes! I've put at top coat over the stickers this time so hopefully they will last a bit longer.

So what do you think?
Anyone else using a bit of retail therapy to get through exam season?

Models Own Haul!

Hi guys!

I don't know if you have seen but models own have a great deal on at the minute with 6 for £20 on their polishes! And with most of them usually costing £5-£6 this means you get two free :) I couldn't pass up on a deal like that.

They also have two new collections out; sticky fingers and the speckled egg collection. So I was defiantly sold with this offer!

I purchased the sweet candy and pastel petal sticky fingers polishes, and swan, goose, dove, and magpie from the speckled egg collection. And as with all my models own orders they came super quick.

I love pastel shades and anything that's a bit different, so the speckled egg collection is right up my street. I'm loving the colours and I was surprised how well they came out, I only used two coats of the dove polish in the picture above.

The sticky fingers polishes are usually £6 and you get some cute little nail art stickers with your polish. However only certain colours come with different sticker sets, which could be a bummer if you already have the shades in your collection. But I love nail art and these looked pretty quick and easy so I though why not!

And they are really quick and simple to use BUT my slight OCD almost sent me into a melt down when I opened the sticker sheet to find that there weren't pairs of most of the stickers!! 😫 I must have spent a good 20 minutes looking at them to make sure I was wrong.

There are some exact pairs, and some similar looking pairs. If you can live with that sort of chaos then you'd love them ;)

My stickers didn't last very long but I didn't use a top coat as suggested (I was home from uni with minimal supplies) but I still really like them. They are ideal for quick and cute nail art which is what I need right now, mid exam season.

Overall I'm really happy with my little treat to myself :) once again model own have impressed me.

So what do you think? Did any of you make the most of the 6for20 deal? :)

Accessorize goodies!

Hi!

As I've already mentioned, I worked in accessorize for a few months covering maternity leave. I loved it there! The staff were lovely and hopefully if more hours come up they will have me back :)

The chain is huge on customer service which I adore! There is nothing worse than walking into a store and being greeted by staff that look entirely sick of their lives. I cant express how much I loved working there, I got to tidy bags and jewellery which for a slightly OCD sparkle fanatic is just heaven!

Needless to say I couldn't resist a few purchases while I was there 🙊 haha!

I love doubling up on necklaces now! I'd never thought to do it before but now I do it pretty much everyday. I like to combine a nice statement necklace with something a bit simpler ( ^ as on the top left of this pic ^ ).

I treated myself to a few goodies for my
holiday this year. The lace tabbard is a lush piece of beach wear, but it looks really nice over a black strappy vest with black leggings or skinnies :)
(The silky scarf goes really well with a bright yellow top I brought from river island too).

When my contract ended, I had a little spending spree just to keep me going ;) needless to say I won't need to buy any jewellery in a hurry :) I love accessorize, their products are gorgeous.

It's Been A While ...

Hi!

I have completely neglected my blog this year! Things have been so mad at university, it has just been go go go since September. I really want to get back on track with my blogging though (+ I have so many goodie to share!). So I'll give you the low down on what I've been up to before I get back into this :)

Since September I've really been enjoying University, it's much better being at Chester than last year in Nantwich. I'm part of the women's rugby, equestrian, and pole fitness societies, which take up a lot of my free time.
I've worked maternity cover in Accessorize until February (purchased plenty of goodies from there). And now I'm getting ready to sit my exams before I start my summer!

I've decided that I am going to have two blogs; one for all things girly :) nails, clothes, jewellery and what not, and the second for more personal things such as my work placements and animal related trips :)
So you'll see I've added page tabs for both of my blogs :) please follow both (if I don't bore you to death that is ;) )
Some posts might pop up on both (like this one) and some might just be added to one page. I'm new to this fiddley stuff so we will see how it goes!

I'm really going to try and keep this as updated as possible now :) but please bare with we, it is exam season so things are about to go crazy.

I have got a few posts lined up though :D including a Models Own haul, and some zoo stuff that I've been up to :)

I'll keep you posted ;)
